Even though I’ve been making smoothies for ages, this is the first time I made a smoothie bowl. I planned to make a it for a long time already. It is similar to a regular smoothie, but thicker, so that it can be eaten with a spoon.
When you add several superfood ingredients, like chia seeds, goji berries, spirulina etc, you get a Superfood Smoothie Bowl that can be eaten for breakfast, or it can substitute lunch or dinner, if you want to lose weight. Oat flakes (or oat bran) will add thickness to the smoothie, as well as iron and other healthy minerals and help you feel full longer while keeping blood sugar levels stable. Coconut oil is a healthy fat that will help you increase your energy expenditure and burn more fat, which is great for weight loss.
Having Superfood Smoothie Bowl is an excellent way to nourish your body with high nutrition ingredients that it needs and lose weight at the same time, while making your meal in minutes.
